life at an end

today i received some of the worst news one can possibly receive; my uncle is dying. we just found out that he has aids. no one ever knew, even his partner. he's known at least several years, but we aren't sure why he never said anything, and now we'll never know. he got an mri a few weeks ago and it showed lesions on his brain, and evidence of a stroke, not recent, but it certainly explains a lot of things about his recent behavior, and that's just the beginning of it. he won't last much longer, maybe a week and a half at the most.
in a time when the government and over bearing religous zealots are trying to impose their "morals" on other people, because of their prejudice, and their hatred. i would just like for them to remember, that all people, no matter if they're hetero or homo, they are still human beings with souls and feelings, and who have family that love them very much and deserve every ounce of respect one can bestow upon another. just because you don't agree with a persons lifestyle doesn't mean they are less than you, if you want to be a true christian, remember what he christ has said, "he who is without sin, may cast the first stone"
so no matter what your "moral convictions" are just please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.
