Time to Update!
Good Evening Ladies, Gentlemen, and distinguished Judges I am contestant number one Miss CJ Karcella. I am proudly <--(???) sponsored by Miss Chivonne Street, Criss and Brandon, Jenny Kitchen, and a Host of Family and Friends. Tonight i am here for one reason and one reason only and that is to be "your" Miss Birmingham Rising Star. There are three characteristics a "Shining Star" should possess: Dedication, Compassion, and the Willingness to Continue to Learn. These three qualities are what make me "your" unique Shinning Star---Miss Birmingham Rising Star. For your Consideration I am Contestant Number One Miss CJ Karcella!
Those are the words first spoken at the Miss Birmingham Rising Star Pageant on Sunday May 8, 2005. My first pageant as a female impersonator and lucky contestant number one as well. This pageant was a tough pageant for every contestant that was in it. Nobody that i had spoken with "wanted" to do it including me. I was excited about it, but never seeing a pageant before, not knowing what to do, and having no help made me loose my interest, yet excitement in the pageant.
First Category was on Presentation. I made an outfit, bra and a skirt deal, along with a head-dress (Thanks to Pebbles, Luv Ya Gurl). I also came out with a black cape with a silver cross in the middle with rhinestones on the outside of the cross.. It was centered in my back. It was cute!!!
Second Category was Evening Gown and On-Stage Question and Answer. This part was incredibly nerve racking for me, the Question and Answer part. I wore my Red and Black evening Gown. My up-do (hair) was the shit, thanks to Jason! I have never modeled as gown before or saw it done. Thank you a lot Obsinity. Obsinity told me real quick like how she usually models her gown. Thank you girl.. Thank you also for the bracelets and the shoes (o: I got a lot of compliments on the gown. One judge said it was to short. How, i have no clue. It's by no means to short haha. Maybe the judge will invest in some glasses before the judging on their next pageant. The Question and Answer part was a rotted haha. I didn't do well on it at all. Why, i don't know. I should have OR maybe i shouldn't.. the Question was "What is your long-term goal as a female impersonator?" Well, to answer that honestly.... Ummm... As of right now... Nothing... BUT i didn't say that of course. (Continue to read the journal to find out why i said that)
Third Category was Talent. For talent i done "Good Luck" by Basement Jaxx. I love that song. The outfit was cute. A black and red cape rhine-stoned and sequenced with a red fury flip top. HOTTT!!! With a matching head piece to go with it. Some black leather pants with zippers all over them and a red dangly shrit thing.. Whateva you call it or however you describe it. Thanks to both Derrick and Hillary! Derrick was my little back-up dancer. Done a fabulous job. He came in during the "male" voice part. We done a little bit of choregraphing together. Went better than i thought, haha! Thanks again!
Fourth Category----Crowning! I had planned on wearing a different gown for crowning. Someone was suppose to bring me one, but didn't! Doesn't surprise me. Well was in the dressing room and someone had sit a glass of something on those rocky ass tables. Yeah, spilled all over my evening gown. I was fucked. Chivonne let me wear one of her little dresses. Looked good on me actually, eventhough it had to be safety pinned like a muther fucker lol. 2nd Alternate was Amaya Laure (doubt i spelled it right, sorry girl) 1st Alternate Madison Alexis and your Miss Birmingham Rising Star-----Miss Trinity Taylor! Congrats Girl, you deserved it. Thanks for all your help that night. I appreciate it, a lot. That NIGHT was the MOST help i had ever received from anyone in the preparation for the pageant and in general as a female impersonator. Thanks to everyone who helped that night.
For that to be my first pageant, never to see one, and no help (only from the girls in it the night during it) i am satisfied with my performance. It was probably rotted as hell. But oh well. I disagree with "some" of the judging, but overall the judging was okay. The "Wendy" judge was certainly not professional, in my opinion. From my understanding you don't judge a person on "the way they talk" BUT "The usage of their grammar." The other judges said i was well-spoken, etc. She made a comment saying "Very Strange Voice!" Okay, and? So if i was in a voice contest i would loose.. She gives me a 3 or 4 can't remember out of 10. GO WENDY!!! LOL... That's the only thing that made no sense to me. Moving On!!! I do wish i could have spent More Time in the pageant and had More Guidance or Help! But i am happy with the outcome. Trinity Taylor is a good entertainer and will make a great representative as the Miss Birmingham Rising Star!!!! (o:

There has several things happen in such little time span. I am at home, Cullman, for the Summer. I may be here for the Fall and/or Spring as well. Might be attending Wallace State Community College, might be at the University of Alabama. It's all up to God. Whateva he has in store for me. I am staying here with my parents for the summer for sure. Mom has been having test ran on her often. Mom is also staying a lot at my grandparents taking care of them, her parents. They are getting old. )o: I am going to try and get a job this Summer as well. Wish me Luck!
It still has been ummm around 10 months now since i have been in a relationship. It is just so hard to find what you are looking for. BUT... The good thing is i know what i want.. He will come along soon. I have meet and went on dates with guys. Cute, Sweet, Nice, etc. But just not for me. I am actually talking to a couple guys at the moment. I have a feeling one of these is going to be the next relationship that i will inquire. But.. WHo knows? Not me, lol! I do know whenever Romeo does decide to come along i'll me more than happy, yet more than ready (o:
"Miss CJ Karcella" will not be around anytime soon, if ever again. Well, you'll see her for sure next year at the "Miss Guerrilla Pageant" since she is "MISS GUERRILLA 2005" She'll be crowning the next one. I am just tired, don't have the time, and have other things to do. I love to entertain, have fun doing it, and love hanging out with all my friends, etc. BUTTTT.... Female Impersonation or well actually there's a whole list to compare it to... And it comes first.. I can say i enjoyed it why i did it. Thanks to everyone who supported me and helped me in any way. (o: I am going to try to stay away from the Quest as much as possible. Focus totally on College (just finished my 2nd yr of College, Go Me :o), family and friends, work (when i get a job), and hopefully a love life, and of course many other things. Wish me luck on a GREAT CAREER!!!
