Trevor flies along Interstate 80, his foot held down as hard as he can, the speedometer of his dilapidated car long since buried. "Is there anything I should know, or a story I should memorize to tell your kin? Seeing me as centaur may unsettle them, but they will realize I am not hastiin very soon."

"No need for a story. My parents have heard me talk about you, and I'm going to explain the centaur thing before you get there."

He turns in his seat, watching the cabin fade from view. It was the closest thing he's had to home in a very long time, and going away from it is scaring him more than he can say. It doesn't help that Trevor may be running head-first into danger, and he couldn't be by his side.

A long sigh as he finally looks at his lover. "You had promised me many weeks ago that you would teach me to read. A situation such as this only reinforces that I must learn to function in hastiin's world on my own. You can not tend to me like a helpless dibé. Can we resume that, once you return?" And he says it like a foregone conclusion. Trevor promised him, so of course he would come back. There was no other option.

Trevor eases the car back onto the highway, resisting the urge to get back into the fast lane and floor it. Given his track record with the JSA, he's liable to get flack for using his communicator to speed as it is, and this is Aditsan's first trip in a car. Instead he gets into the middle lane, keeping his speed at a relatively sedate seventy.
