APPLICATION
-the basics-
Name: Sherry (Sher) MacDougall.
Age: 15
Location: Nova Scotia, Canada. =)
Sexual Preference: Guys, please!
-favorites-
Music: It all depends on which mood I'm in, most of the time I like to listen to rock or classic rock. Other times I'm in a really bubbly, giddy mood & pop music appeals to me. I'm not really into a ton of different genres. ;]
Bands: Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, The Doors, The Early November, Jimi Hendrix, Finger Eleven, Deftones, The Salads, Out of Your Mouth, & I have to say Sum 41. I've always had a thing for them. Such funny, good looking guys. <3
Movies: Uh, this is the worst question ever! I simply love movies, but when it comes to writing them all down and remembering which ones I really like, it's hopeless. I'll try it anyway. Bare with me, folks.
The Banger Sisters, Tuck Everlasting, Trapped, Duplex, Ever After, 10 Things I Hate About You, Finding Nemo, Secret Window, Signs, Monsters Inc., Bowling For Columbine(Documentary, but still, VERY good.), etc.
Books: This sounds horrible, seeing as I'm being judged on intelligents, but I don't read alot. The only book that I really really enjoy, is Danielle Steel - The Promise. I could read that book 357839579435789357 times.
Words: Just random words? Hrm. I say Eh alot, I always answer with "Oh yeah?", but I don't think I have favorite words.
Television Shows: Will & Grace, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, Reba, Grounded For Life, Just for Laughs, etc.
Food(s): Tacos, Pizza, Salads, Chicken, French Fries, & Rice.
-important issues- What I think of these?
The War on Terrorism: To be honest, I try to stay away from this as much as possible. I think it's totally and utterly disgusting and I hate everything about it. I don't think Canada has too much on that part anyway, so I usually don't hear alot about that.
The War in Iraq: Pretty much the same as the War on Terrorism.
Abortion Rights: I think any woman has the right to do this. I personally would never do this but I think it's great that its an option. If both of the parents don't feel that their child will have a good life, then why put them through anything that you don't have to? Of course, thats a big decision but at least its a little comforting to know it's there.
The Death Penalty: Ah, Canada doesn't have that, but in some ways I wish it did. I seriously would love to just shoot some people in the face. Like people that molest younger children and stuff, or hurt them. I really don't know how you can do that to a grown woman/man, let alone doing it to a child. So, I think the Death Penalty is good in some ways, but two wrongs don't make a right. If someone kills another, why would it be right to see that, that person dies himself/herself? No. I think they should just pay for what they did. Also, depends on how remorseful the person that did it, is.
Religion: I'm living in a house where Religion REALLY isn't that big a deal. If/when I ever have kids, I'll see to it that become church people and understand the concepts of God & such.
Gay Marriages: I don't have alot to say on this, because it's just clear. Love is love, forget about genders. It shouldn't matter whats in your pants, it's whats in your heart.
Drugs in general including Marijuana Decriminalization: Drugs in general is not for me, but I really wouldn't have anything against the guy sitting next to me if he used them on a regular basis. It's your choice and if you feel your doing something right, then go for it. I'm not going to stop you. The whole idea of Marijuana Decriminalization is a good idea for health reasons, but only that. It would be horrible if you could just buy it at the corner store. No way, I think it should be decriminalized for the sake of the people suffering.
The American Media: I think it has nothing to do with how people act in general. It's the people that do the crimes and it's pathetic that anyone should blame it on something they've seen on television. Have you ever see 'Bowling for Columbine" ?, It proves that Americans have a higher violence rate, some people blame it on the media and everything and say thats why there is less violence in Canada, when really we have 70% of America's Media. I don't see anything wrong with it, I don't think media controls people. People control themselves.
What do you feel is the most important issue that is concerning or should concern the average American today?: Maybe I shouldn't be trying for this, I'm not an American, but I guess it works the same for everyone. I think people should just worry about themselves being on track and getting themselves together, I really don't know whats the most important issue, everyone has their idea of the most important thing.
-other-
the Entertainment Industry: Well, some of it is pretty bad. Like that game 'Vice City' or something? Yeah, thats pretty pathetic. But if you find amusement out of it, then go for it. Like I said before, things like that don't control the way you act in society, you control that.
Straight edge (sXe): I think it's wonderful. I'm straight edge by default, which makes me a loser in some ways I guess. I would never drink, smoke, do drugs, or have casual sex, but if the person next to me was all for that, I'd cheer them on because their doing what they want to do and standing for what THEY think is right.
What do you consider to be bad music?: Rap music. Honestly it's a fantasy world. All this stuff about thugs, bitches and hoes. Drugs and all that, I mean, that doesn't give you millions. Face it, that puts you on the streets and while some people may be able to look past it, others are going to think your utterly disgusting.
What do you dislike more than anything else? Rude, judgemental, people. People that can't see anything other than their way. People that can't look at anything in another direction. That's really annoying.
What is your worst quality? I tend to think way more than I should. I make mountains out of mole hills CONSTANTLY. I can be really whining, picky and I get mad quite easy. I don't think I'm a really pretty person on the outside, though I think my inner beauty makes up for that. I get called hot on occassion, but everyone sees something different when they look at you, so naturally it's going to happen once or twice in everyones life, if not more.
What is your best? My ability to understand people, forgive, and see things in other peoples point of view.
Your most memorable childhood memory: Playing dolls with my best friend, Mandy. We must have been 5 and we'd have the stroller for them and everything, we'd always pretend we were adults and had really wicked jobs.
A good quote: You can send a man to harvard, but you can't make him smart.
ONE line from a song expressing how you feel: One line? Oh wow. "So thanks for all you've done, but I won't let you get the best of me."
The best show you've ever attended: Show? like a concert? Probably the first time I went to see Sum 41, I bawled my eyes out like a 3 year old.
Tell us a joke: I bet this probably isn't going to help me getting accepted, but I have to say.. I'm not funny in the sense of telling jokes. I'm just funny with randomness and such. Sorry guys, but I'm completely joke-less.
If you were to label yourself, what would you would be: Wow, I could never answer this question. I'm really against labelling, ... I'd label myself, Sherry. No other word can describe who I am.
Cats or Dogs? Cats!
Cake or Pudding? Cake.
