I know what you mean. Im 24 years old so ive been in the scene for over a decade. I can tell you that punk tends to go through fads where it will be popular and then get really unpopular for a while when all the 2min posuer punx go to a new fad. In the nineties all the posers went ska when ska got popular. Now all the posuers are going to emo. I actually sort of like it better when punk is on the down like now because then you know that all the people there love it and will stay true despite fads.
