story time
Once upon a time there was a seventeen year old Princess named Nelkini.
Nelkini was very thin but was strong enough to defend herself from harm. She had dark brown hair that she would tie into a long flowing braid. Her eyes were bright blue and she loved to wear blue gowns to show them off.
Nelkini also had a brother named Charming who looked nothing like his sister. Charming had a blond shag that hid his eyes from the world. He was very built and would flex for all the young women of the castle. His clothing was all black besides two white pins that pinned his cape. But sadly Charming and Nel never could get along with each other for over ten minutes.
One day Nelkini was chatting with Charming about her new boyfriend named Jack, "He's too weak!" Charming exclaimed. "He is not! He's sweet and caring and-" Charming cut Nel off before she could finish, "cheating on you?" Charming pointed behind Nel where she spotted her boyfriend holding one of the castle maids. Nel gasped and turned back to her brother to ask for help, but he had disappeared in a cloud of smoke. Charming was learning how to be a sorcerer and loved to poof into smoke when he was done talking.
Nel turned back towards Jack and the castle maid, Jack was waving to the maid as she skipped to one of the guest rooms to clean it. Breathing quickly Nel marched over to question her boyfriend, "what was that?" she snapped, "what was what?" asked jack. Nel placed her hands on her hips to show her frustration, "You know very well what, I saw you holding that maid!" Before Jack could open his mouth to explain Nel had called the castle gard's to throw Jack into a chamber. After Jack had been thrown into the chamber, Nel decided to clear her thoughts by taking a walk through a near by forest.
The forest was lush and green with trees that sprouted yellow flowers all over its branches. Nel loved to walk through the forest when she had alot on her mind, it seemed to comfort her. As Nelkini came to a bubbling brook she heard a shriek of pain come from the other side of the water. Footsteps thundered and a man appeared, his left shoe was missing and yet he seemed to be running from something. Nel waited for a fierce beast to come chasing after the man, but instead only a clumsy baby dragon waddled after him with a shoe stuck on his one tooth.Nel laughed and jumped across the brook to help the man out. She scooped up the dragon and replaced the shoe with a shiny rock for it to chew on. The man walked up cautiously and put his shoe back onto his foot. "Oh thank you so much! I thought the little beast would get me were it not for you." the man fixed his hair as he spoke, "My name is Chad by the way."
He stretched out his hand as a greeting. Nel shook it with her free hand and studied his figure. She noted his thin frame and his many rings on his fingers but other than that, he looked almost normal. He had green eyes and thick long lashes, his hair was a flawless blond that shined ever so slightly in the sun. Nel explained that she was trying to clear her thoughts over a guy that cheated on her and asked why someone like Chad would be in the forest alone. "Well, I just love the flowers that grow along this brook, and if that little monster hadn't chomped on them all I could've gotten a lovely bokay for my home!" Chad pointed his finger at the baby dragon that was wiggling out of Nelkini's arm. She set it on a near by stump and it squirmed away from them. As Nel watched the little beast she remembered an old friend that could help Nel out with her boyfriend.
Nel had an old friend named Tanel. Tanel was a sorceress that hat been born with a rare skin disease that had turned her skin green. Growing up, Nelkini had ben her only friend. Since then she had made many more friends by sharing her magic with commoners. Nelkini and Chad decided to go pay her a little visit. When Chad and Nel arrived at Tanels little hut, she opened the door slightly and scanned them, "I saw you two coming to visit me. So boyfriend problems right? hmmm lets see what i have to fix that." Tanel swung open the door to let them in. Tanel was very short and fat with large hips that would knock her into surrounding tables as she cleared a path for them to sit. As Chad and Nel sat, Tanel grabbed a book of spelled off of a dusty shelf. She flipped the pages licking her lips as she chose a good spell for a cheating boyfriend. "I got it! The perfect spell," Tanel flipped the book over to Nel to read. "The toadification potion?" Nelkini asked. She had heard of it before, all it did was turn a person into a toad until his true love kissed him. Nodding in agreement, Nel watched as Tanel made the potion and poured it into a flask. "Now remember to only use two drops and to whisper the word, 'abeo' while doing it." Tanel handed the flask to Nel and Chad stood to leave the hut but before they left Tanel said, "If you need something tonight yell my name and i'll come".
When Nel came back to the castle she hid the flask in her purse. She turned to Chad and said "stand gard and warn me if anyone approaches, you." Chad nodded and Nel slipped into the chamber where Jack slept. She stood over Jack and noticed that his once clean and white clothing were now muddy and dulled. She rapped her fingers around the flask as she watched him sleep. As she unscrewed the top and let two drops slip out she whispered, "abeo". The once peacefully sleeping man mutated into a toad. Nel laughed as she turned to leave the chamber, but her brother stood in her way. Nelkini looked around him and saw Chad tied up in the corner. "What do you want Charming?" Nel demanded. Her brother just stared at her and explained that she completely freaked out over nothing, "Nel, I cast a spell on the maid and made her fall into Jack's arms. Seriously you need to chill." Charming sat her down onto a bench inside the chamber. Nel stared at the sleeping frog and just shook her head, "But I saw it in his eyes, and now I'll never know if he loved me! Oh Tanel please help me!" Nel buried her face into Charming's shoulder.
Within an instant Tanel poofed into the chamber with a tear in her eye, "Old friend I should have looked more closely at what happened, then none of this would've happened. But if he truly loves you then a single kiss should reverse the spell." Tanel looked around her and saw Chad tied up in the corner, chuckling she untied him and introduced Chad and herself to Charming. Nelkini wiped a tear from her face and asked for some privacy alone with the toad. Once everyone left the chamber, Nelkini knelt down beside Jack. She cradled the sleeping toad and gently kissed it. A few seconds passed and the toad turned back into a man.
Jack awoke and started to apologize for not understanding her but Nel quickly hushed him, "It was all my fault and im so sorry." They stood up and Nelkini led him out of the chamber to clean off. Afterwords Nel explained everything to Jack and he forgave her for everything,"If you hadn't gone through that journey then you would never had made such good friends." Jack pointed to Tanel and Chad who were talking to Charming. Nel nodded and hugged Jack, "I swear I wont do anything that crazy ever again." Nelkini vowed. James kissed her for head and whispered "But what fun would that be?" teasingly to her.
Shortly after, the couple were engaged and lived happily ever after.
