Ruth's
I was out at Ruth's for Sunday brunch. They had two middle-aged ladies playing extremely boring folk music-- think the NPR ladies from Saturday Night Live with acoustic guitars. And that's good, non-offensive musical wallpaper. Whatever. But they started playing John Lennon's 'Imagine'-- and they CHANGED THE LYRICS. (Specifically 'and no religion too') Now, that song's got some stuff in there that maybe some people won't necessarily get behind, but man, John Lennon wrote a lot of good songs. If you don't like what Imagine is talking about, maybe try 'All You Need Is Love'. Nobody's getting mad about that. For crying out fucking loud, have a little respect, you ghoulish hypocritical cunts.
