Another reason to have faith in the republic
I've always said that the only thing that gives me faith in America is that nobody, and I mean nobody, does a better job of ripping on our many flaws and fuckups than ourselves.
But now I have this:
Paris Hilton goes back to jail. God bless you, rule of law. Seriously, is the judicial branch the only part of the government that even maintains a pretense any more? Sent home for 'medical reasons' after three days? 'Medical reasons' my skinny white ass. I knew she was getting out early for 'good behavior', but this is just making a joke out of the legal system. And is spitting in the eye of anybody who actually had to answer for the laws they broke.
