What...I'm Not Dying?

Well good news to all...I didn't have a staph infection but I did have a pretty wicked abcess. I had it worked on last night...and the whole event was pretty painful.

For starters, the thing hurt so much that even when I walked, it hurt. If I were to barely even touch it, I'd be in a world of pain. Now all of you are probably thinking, "Oh my god, your such a wuss Sarah!"...Very few of you would understand seriously how much this hurt.

So I'm walkin into the Patient's First, hunched over like an old woman with a bad case of scoliosis, and Ihave to keep moving from seat to seat because I have to sign in and give my info and all that crizap...then the doctor comes in and she's all poking and pushing on the sore (which about the size of a cherry, no pun intended), wondering why the heck Dev's doctor said it was staph when she didn't do a culture on it.

Well after prodding it some more, she decides that she's gotta cut it out and they start getting the blades and trays and stuff.

No way, she's not cutting me open unless she injects pain meds in there. Thankfuly she does, lol but the moment she pulls out the needle, the stuff start coming back out...now mind you, most of that area is numb...and it feels like someone poured soda on my stomach!

After all was said and done...I walked out of there nearly in tears because the lidocane wore off before I left and the hole she cut into me (about a quarter of an inch deep) is stuffed full of sterile gauze and a bandage over it to keep it all in.

My mom and dad doted on me till the pain meds the doctor gave me kicked in and I was forced to bed.

Sadly my evening grew worse from then on...I slept but not very well...

Today was a bit better...but I'm worried I might have pushed the gauze out of the hole on accident ^^;
