Our brand new basement flooded, not with rainwater, but with shit. The shit pipe backed up, then, be fore we discovered this, we took several showers and floated the shit around the basement.
Yeah, that is where our computer was. Suffice to say, that is why I haven't been on LJ in awhile. We are still going through the insurance issues.
Luckily, just the computer desk was ruined, so my goal is to get the computer upstairs on a card table this weekend. (I'm at my mom and dad's house right now doing laundry.
Well, as my daughter was complaining about the misery of loosing toys and what not, I said to her, "Well, at least there are men who are willing to take a job cleaning up poopie. It would be worse if we had to go down and clean it up."
She agreed and stopped complaining.
The thing that pisses me off is that this happened to the previous owners and it wasn't disclosed.
