Delirium Tremens Beer
My sister went to England a few years back and came back raving about this beer that she drank over there. Have any of you tried Delirium Tremens AKA the "Pink Elephant Beer?" I tried a few sips of hers one night and thought that it tasted O.K. and thought nothing more of it. Well, last night I was talking to my brother-in-law and he says that 4 of those beers mess him up. Now, my brother-in-law, R., is about 6ft. 200+lbs... so, for four beers to mess him up is quite unusual. He says that it is not the immediate effect, but the next day he feels like he is stoned off his ass. Apparently, they put some herb it this beer and he says when he drinks it, it's like a 2 day commitment. I had never picked it up off the shelf when I went to the speciality liquor stores, because it was kinda pricey, but now I am going to have to get some and try it out of pure curiosity.
