(Tiny, wee) VICTORY!
As a follow up to this post made yesterday.
I understand some of you have a problem with me posting unoriginal icons. To be quite honest, virtually every icon site on here doesn't bother giving credit whatsoever. I will, however, begin to give credit. I'm in no way going to stop posting icons; they might not be mine, but I enjoy posting them. So, now that all that positively annoying b.s. is out of the way, let's post.
One more thing: If you seen your icons and want me to remove them, I'll do just that. Just don't make a big fuss over it, and I won't either.

Seriously, how many times does it need to be said? I (and most others) don't CARE if you repost. Just STOP USING OUR LINKS. Upload the icons to Photobucket or something. It's not that hard.
What is hotlinking and bandwidth theft?
Bandwidth theft or "hotlinking" is direct linking to a web site's files (images, video, etc.). An example would be using an tag to display a JPEG image you found on someone else's web page so it will appear on your own site, eBay auction listing, weblog, forum message post, etc.
Bandwidth refers to the amount of data transferred from a web site to a user's computer. When you view a web page, you are using that site's bandwidth to display the files. Since web hosts charge based on the amount of data transferred, bandwidth is an issue. If a site is over its monthly bandwidth, it's billed for the extra data or taken offline.
A simple analogy for bandwidth theft: Imagine a random stranger plugging into your electrical outlets, using your electricity without your consent, and you paying for it.

NOW, APPARENTLY. :D Less than half an hour after I post this, I go back and find this:
I know it's a small victory, and that she'll start up another one and hundreds of other people hotlink all the damn time, but still. A victory nonetheless. >:D
