Well everyone used to joke about my car breaking down on me, well guess what. IT FUCKING BROKE DOWN ON ME!!! On Lake Michigan Drive too. Here is the fun story: Well Johnnie came down to my room at around 3:20 asking if I could drive him down to Allendale for class, so I said okay. Well we're driving down Lake Michigan and all of a sudden, my car jerks hard (like it wasnt catching the gear) and it stopped. Well it happened to stop right in the left most turn lane to turn into the Allendale campus. So I try to re-start it and no fucking luck. So Johnnie takes off for class and I'm stuck by myself. And of course I leave my cell phone and AAA card back in my dorm. So I run across the street to the Auto Shop and ask them if I could use their phone to get a tow from AAA. Well about 15/20mins later, the tow truck comes and tows me back to my dorm, cuz I just decided to get my car towed back to Grand Rapids. Well since I didn't have my card to prove I had AAA I had to talk to the service people to pull up my insurance policy. I give them all the information they wanted, my full name, home address, make/model of my car, license plate number, current phone number, where I broke down, where I'm towing it and what happened to it. Well everything is worked out and the car gets back to my dorm and the guy that towed my car said "Well you're having a really bad day, so I'm not going to charge you the extra 7 miles I had to tow you. Which would be about 25$ or so." So i was happy about that. Walked back to my dorm, called my mom and told her what happened. So my parents are coming up on Sunday to pick me up for Spring Break and take me home and probably get me a new car at the same time. I'm fucking junking the Neon, I'm pulling out my speakers and my cd player and then i'm gonna take a god damn baseball bat to it. So that is my story. My neon finally died, well not really it starts but its shaking violently as soon as it starts. Its probably the oil filter/oil pump, since I put 1.5 quarts of oil in it the other day and now its gone and there is metal in the oil. A BIG NO NO!! So I might put some more oil in it and see what happens, but I refuse to drive it again. And it shouldn't be the oil pump, since I had that replaced about a year ago, and god forbid its my oil pump, I'm going to the place where I had it fixed and raising hell about their crappy parts and the fact that they charged me 310$ for an oil pump that failed within a year. Well I now need a smoke, so that is my fun story of what the fuck happened to my neon. Well that was a good 2 grand well spent. It lasted 2 years of MCC and almost a year at GVSU. Not bad for a 96 Neon with 134,000 miles on it. Time for a new car.
