I'll admit to being a lil petty...

Its a long complicated story... but in short at my job we only get a chance to go home early two MAYBE three times a year due to orders finishing and the machines changing over.  It's a rare thing for my shift to have more people than lines, it's usually the other way around.  So when we get a chance to go home early its a rare treat, that most people enjoy and readily take advantage of.  There was a short period where our plant ran limited production but it didn't effect my shift, so yeah...  anyways...   we go home by seniority  most to least.  Well Our 2 Quality Control people don't get a chance to go home b/c the only other person trained to do everything is out until next year on medical.  HOWEVER... come Monday night at 5am we shut down our main line for maintenance, so only one QC person was needed.  The forman has NEVER sent people home when there wass only 2 hours or less left, he leaves them to make sure the plant is nice and clean.  However, since the line would be down tuesday night as well... one QC who was dying to go home, who is also the foreman's pet, convinced the Forman to send me home and use my turn on the list to go home, knowing I was on a job that wouldn't even allow me to get away until after 5:20... Just to ensure SHE would get her chance to go home... at 8pm the Tuesday night, instead of me.  What the foreman's pet wasn't planning on was the OTHER quality person to agree to go home (b/c she rarely does)... and say yeah, the main QC lady went home and the scheming one had to stay and work ALL 12 hrs Tuesday night.

Is it petty to enjoy seeing her plan bite her in the butt,  yes... but after being the nice person and living by the golden rule to have people pull this kind of stuff on me and other people... to FINALLY see their plans turn and bite them in the butt is WAY too satisfying.  I feel a lil guilty for enjoying it, but yeah... I'll admit to being petty.
