awww i just called St. Pat's to say that I'd serve Mass Sunday after getting a message on our machine asking me to (from the Secratary...Fr. Murphy's request!! GAH i love him!!) serve for the 8 sunday. Fr. Murphy's voice is no longer on the answering machine... it's the secretary, Linda. And there's no more "Press 1 to leave a message for Fr. Murphy." It just goes straight from saying weekend Mass times and confession time to "To leave a message for the business manager, press 2. To leave a message for the secretary, press 3." At least he's still on our Parish's website.....
http://www.stpatricksofportland.com/church/church.shtml Gahhh I love him!
Okay, here's the deal!! I'm moving to Wells and going to Mass at St. Mary's from now on so I can be with Fr. Murphy!!!!!!!!! WHY am i so SAD about this!? I'm mad at the bishop for transferring him!! welllll...not mad at the bishop. How could I be mad at Bish Rich!? But...you know what i mean. I'm sad taht we lost such a good priest. Now we share two jesuits from St. Pius X.
Look, this is the end of last Sunday's bulletin... it made me kind of sad!
Whatever I have been able to give to St. Patrick’s in these past few years, I have received far more in return. You may not be aware of the fact that these past three years have allowed me to be reborn in parish life and ministry. The future, whatever it holds, will be brighter because of all that has transpired here. Portland will always be my home, and I pray that St. Pat’s will always be a part of my life.
Love Fr. Tom
Doesn't that make you sad!? it sure made me sad!
Anywho, I guess that's all I have to say. OH wait. I got a sunburn yesterday while biking and the tan lines (well - burn lines i suppose would be more appropriate!?) look funny. Okay, I think that that's it. Thanks for reading. Peace out cubscouts!
love,
