(no subject)
board meeting this weekend. it was really frusturating, i had missed school Thursday cos I have been sick (booger nose & a cough, woohoo!) and Friday morning at like quarter to eight, my phone rings as i'm about to leave for school and it's Eric. He goes, "Can you try to get to the chancery by 10.30? We're trying to leave early to beat the storm." well, after a lot of confusing stressful phone calls, i got dismissed at 10.15ish. packed and got to the chancery around 11.30? we didn't end up going to Old Town for the meeting until yesterday morning. so that was realyl frusturating. so friday afternoon, we finally left the chancery around 2?ish. got a pizza and went to the Manocchia's, Amy, Katy, Peter, Erin, Kristin, Eric and I. We all just hung out. Watched cars get stuck in the snow. Went to see the Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It was soooooooo good. Then we went back to the Manocchia's and slept.
we left at 7.45 yesterday morning for Old Town. Got there around 10.15. Started in with the meeting. lots of fun, i guess. my and Erin's first community builder stunkkkkkk! but we were able to fix it later last nite. we basically just ran through all of Winter Carnival yesterday... it was a dress rehersal for it. at 6.15, we left for the LaBree's house... holy moly, beautiful. it's not big-looking on the outside, but it is HUGE! 5 bathrooms, 7 bedrooms, a billion and twelve other rooms! suchhhh a gorgeous house! if any of you are familiar with LaBree's bakery, it is their h ouse. Fr. Paul LaBree's parents. Suchw onderful people. Once there, we had a FEAST! Then did a bunch of work. Then had a yankee swap around 9ish, i think? 9.30? That was fun. I got a really pretty ornament with the Holy Family in it. Then bed soon after. Today we went to mass, had breakfast, regional meetings, did a bunch of work, etc. Fun stuff. Lunch, then we left. I couldn't get out of there fast enough. It's funny - this was the first time I had ever felt excluded and left out from some of the board members. Cliques are starting to form between some of the girls. People I hung out with all the time at past meetings are not hanging out with me. Did I do something wrong? Hmm. All I know is that it kind of hurts a lot....it is really discouraging and makes free time not so fun. it just stinks. it really really hurts... and i wish i could say it didn't and i didn't care, but i really do. i'm complaining and i don't like it.
so we finally left the LaBree's. i slept most of the way. we listened to the rent soundtrack. oy. i drooled on Eric while I was sleeping... my bad. :( i felt like such a jerk. oh well.
you know what? I need confession. I'll be better if I can have confession. then mass.
