A pale hand creeped out from under Yabu’s covers, blindly reaching for his ringing cellphone. When he felt its smooth surface, he grabbed it and threw it to the floor, effectively knocking out the battery and shutting it off. Placing his hand back under his cheek, Yabu sighed and returned to his quiet thinking, interrupted only by his broken cries.
He just couldn’t believe it. At first, Yabu reasoned that it must be some error, that whoever updates their agency’s site accidentally erased his name. Once it kept happening though, he figured it had to a joke of sorts, or maybe even a ploy to get more media attention. But once his name was permanently gone, his desk removed and his calendar shoots cancelled, Yabu knew it was for real.
Shoon had quit.
He was leaving the agency.
He was leaving him.
Yabu used his sleeve to wipe away his tears, in an attempt to let his soaked pillow dry. It just hurt so much, more than Yabu could have ever imagined. He’s dealt with people leaving before, but nothing came close to this feeling, not even when Taiyou quit. He just couldn’t stop crying, no matter how hard he tried, they wouldn’t quit and because of that, he’s been hiding under his blankets, skipping work and ignoring all phone calls and texts.
“Stupid Shoon,” Yabu whimpered to himself, closing his eyes and curling up into a ball, trying to calm his breathing down. He heard his door open quietly, and assumed it was just his mother, picking up his dirty tissues and leaving food on his nightstand. He was surprised though when the blankets were torn away from him, Shoon holding them before tossing them aside.
“What do you want?” Yabu blinked against the light, not used to it.
“To talk,” Shoon sat beside his curled up form, laying a hand on his tear stained cheek, “And to give you this,” Shoon produced a rose from behind his back, placing it on Yabu’s nightstand, “I’m sorry.”
“Whatever,” Yabu turned over, causing Shoon’s hand to fall from his cheek, “If you wanted to leave me so bad, you should’ve said something.”
“Leave you?” Shoon asked, his eyebrows pulling together, “Kota, I’m not leaving you, I’m leaving the agency. I’ll still be around you idiot.”
Yabu glanced over his shoulder, his eyes watering up again, “You should have told me,” he whispered, tears trailing down his cheeks, “I found out through a bunch of juniors gossiping, Shoon.”
“I’m sorry,” Shoon apologized again, laying down on the bed behind Yabu, bringing his arms around the others small waist, “It just happened so fast. One minute I’m contemplating it and then the next I’m gone. I barely had time to think, really.”
Yabu turned back around, scooting closer to Shoon and his warm embrace, “Why did you quit?” he asked, looking into Shoon’s eyes.
“I was going nowhere in that agency, and it sucked, you know?” Shoon questioned hypothetically, “To work so hard and to never get anywhere, I was just miserable. Even with all of the friends I have there, I just couldn’t stand it anymore. Plus, I really wanted to start giving school my all, to make it my top priority. I couldn’t do it unless I quit.”
Yabu shoulders shook as his tear poured out, “I never, I never knew you felt that way.”
Shoon smiled sadly, bringing a hand to Yabu’s cheek and wiping away the tears, “I didn’t want you to cry for me.”
“So, we’ll still see each other a ton, right?” Yabu asked, his hands now clinging to Shoon’s shirt, “Cause I couldn’t stand it if-”
Shoon leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to Yabu’s lips, silencing him, before pulling back an inch and saying, “I wouldn’t be able to stand not seeing you either.”
Yabu smiled, meeting Shoon halfway with a loving kiss, holding the older man as close to him as possible.
So, I wrote some smut stories but they're kinda awful, and I've tried rewriting them but they still blow. Should I post them anyways?
