Tonight, as I was driving to the all-night drugstore to shop for office supplies after midnight, "It's Raining Men" came on the radio. And, listening to the lyrics, I realized that "it's raining men" is clearly not intended to be a metaphor - the song is about a scenario wherein it is ACTUALLY, LITERALLY raining ACTUAL PHYSICAL MEN. It even goes into some detail about HOW it came to be raining men.

(EDIT: To take the Weather Girls' advice to "rip off the roof and stay in bed" would take a fair amount of work and be somewhat time-consuming. And, if you did it, then when it STOPPED raining men you would have other problems.)
