Friday night! The gig went well! Our gig went well. The crowd thinned out noticably during the Transients, and for Tomas Ford it was just plain awkward. Though why he was having a gig at Mojos in the first place, i'm not too sure. Felt a bit sorry for the guy, when i wasn't feeling offended. Strange man.

But the point is, Carl Fox (and Associates) were well recieved and some unknown girls verbalised their appreciation later on in the loos, so that's got to mean something. She wasn't very drunk.
It was pretty amazing that anyone showed up, considering the god-awful weather. Thankyou friends!! Your loyalty is not unnoticed.

Saturday! Helping Ness and Mark move house meant pizza quests with Frog, secret icecream, Bowie Party, long-overdue Under Pressure duet with theNessa, and watching everyone else lift heavy boxes. Also Better Off Ted, new IT Crowd again - not as good the second time around, but still good. The boss Douglas is still the clone of Michael P. It's not really a compliment.
Vanessa's little cousins are still adorable. We watched The Princess and the Frog, which was really good and really funny, though i never quite manage to shed my cynicism of Disney fairytale morals. Must. not. be. bitter.

Other fanciful pursuits recently include starting the second book of the Gormenghast trilogy. I have a record of becoming disinterested in trilogies, as i tend to be more interested in scene-setting and character quirks than in actual plotlines. I'm hoping this trilogy will buck the trend because most of it is descriptive and the plot moves like continental drift. In fact the plot is basically a general, overbearing feeling of dread. It's rather enjoyable.

My bro and Edel have just left to go see The Karate Kid. I'm a little jealous. TINY WILL SMITH! How could it go wrong, srsly.
