A couple walks in this afternoon, asks the rate.
Me: 72.80 after taxes.
Man: It was $50 when we stayed here last year.
Me: We have raised the prices since then.
Man: Well I hope it is nicer than last year.
Me: It is exactly the same. Did you not like it last time you stayed?
Man: It was just overpriced and not that nice. Well Do you have a CAA rate?
Me: Yes, it is 65.52 after taxes.
Man: That's a little better, I would like a king size non-smoking room. Next year I am going elsewhere.
Me: Ok, just to confirm, you didn't like your stay last year and thought it was overpriced, but you would like a room right now?
Man: Well, yes.
A couple of hours later he comes back in.
Man: Did you purposely give me the noisiest room in the place. The highway is right outside.
You can't please anyone, they hated the place but will stay even though there are 5 hotels within 2 miles of here. I get so pissed at people complaining about noise too. You bitch if it is not right off of the highway and you bitch if it is near it. What are we supposed to do? I was rude to him but sometimes you have to repeat what they say before they realize how stupid it is. (It didn't work.)
