Some spoilers in my comment!
I loved it! I thought they got the tone just right - sometimes uncomfortably violent and with real consequences for characters but still goofy and weird. The setting felt very lived-in and Walton Goggins was perfect.
Maximus and Lucy were interesting in how they were both sheltered in different ways - him part of a group obsessed with pre-war tech but he doesn’t even know when the big war happened, and her living in basically the Vault-Tec executive suite. Maximus’ decisions frustrated me at first, but he’s not a hero, just a guy living with a bunch of losers playing knights and monks in the wasteland. Thaddeus grew on me as a character too.
I’m curious about how the vault 33 overseer didn’t seem to know about the mutiny/murders in vault 32? Was Bud keeping his big failure a secret, or did they know they were letting raiders in?
I’m excited for season 2!
