This is my boyfriend's ship. It's huge. HUGE. If you've never seen an aircraft carrier up close and personal, pictures like this can be decieving. Look how small the sailors are in comparison to the ship. Yes, it's that big.
I think this gives you a bit more to grasp in terms of size. Again, look at the sailors around the rails.
You could honestly fit Tower into this ship almost twice, plus again, if you put another set on top of the first (that's just the hangar, which is below the flight deck. The flight deck is 4 stories off the water, and the hangar is everything in between) Then that little box looking thing over on the starboard side (what you see in the first picture) is another 6 stories (the 05-010 decks, which is not counting the smaller spaces that are on the long pole.)
And now, I think I'll go tanning, as I can't think of anything else that's cool that I'm allowed to mention, (or that I'm allowed/supposed to know being a civillian. Yes, I went places I wasn't supposed to go. Oops. Although I can't remember the names of some of the places, I just know "This is the ____. You're really not allowed in here, and I could probably get fired for this, but you can stand right here and peek through the curtains and then forget you ever saw it.)
