This is a beautiful night for Democrats, for America!!!
Speaker Pelosi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am still crossing my fingers on the Senate, but we will AT LEAST get a 50/50. In which case, we'll see a lot more of Cheney. Maybe he'll have a heartattack running back and forth casting the many decisive votes to come in the Senate.
Casey kicked Santorum's ass!!! The ironic thing is, his son is a fag. Watching his concession speech on CSPAN, his teenage son was emotional and weeping uncontrollably through the entire speech on National TV.
BAD NEWS for the ELECTION:
It is not a surprise that Carter lost, very early in the night too. It is not a surprise that Tessa Hafen lost. It is not too much of a surprise that Dina lost (though she hasn't give her concession speech, but it's pretty much set). The last one is the one that upsets me the most. How the fuck can Nevadans vote for someone who only has a vaugh idea of he stands for and what he'll do? How the fuck can the Nevadans vote for someone so irresponsible to escort a drunk woman to her car to drive home? How can Nevadans vote for a hypocrite who is strongly anti-immigrant but had an illegal immigrant maid for years? And he refused to go on the show State of Nevada on KNPR, despite repeated requests. Fucking a! And Dina said that in her first 100 days, she would hold a summit on renewable energy. . . I like her.
Well, at least Democrats got all the cabinet positions in NV, other than Lt. Governor.
General Observation:
I am sure I am not the first nor only to say this: even though Dems came back in power, this election also reveals many weaknesses of the Party. Dems will not always have the Iraq War or Scandals to help them win every election. Bush and his administration will soon be out of office. Dems MUST develop a long term strategy and a strong party platform/message that EVERY Democrat follows. Pelosi was onto something when she got hard on the Dems during the election. We have to learn from the Republicans because simply put, they are very good at winning elections. If we want to win in 2008 and in future elections, we need some serious and sweeping changes in the Party.
tired but happy
