Sorry it has been so long since I posted anything. Time keeps on slippin' into the future.
I mainly came here to state a complaint: my brain doesn't work when I'm on the phone. Either it's wandering and thinking about other things, or I know what I want to say but I find myself failing to get my point across succinctly. This is why I avoid the phone (it often makes me sound like an idiot).
I jotted down some quick reviews of books I read a couple months ago, but never posted them. Well, here they are:
Survivor
Survivor was brilliantly twisted. It was a bit strange, kind of dirty, but that's Palahniuk. His ability to tell nonfiction-like fiction is amazing, and it was truly a fun ride. I highly recommend it, and hope you can stomach it :)
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
Yes, Danielle, just for you, I finally read it cover to cover. It was definitely a great book, but I don't see why it is (was?) your favorite. I’m sure I identify much more strongly with Charlie, though we have our differences. It does make me a little suspicious that you liked me because I was a Charlie.
I also liked that it had a Palahniuk-like feel to it, plot-wise. I find myself wanting to write in a Charlie voice. The innocence of it is enchanting.
