So fucking ridiculous

Matt's got a broken leg. Okay, that's fine. Three days before he broke his leg, I rented two videos out of the library. I didn't get a chance to watch either video because of homework. On Thursday, Matt broke his leg. He got moved into the family room by the VCR, and has been lying there everyday, doing nothing but watching TV and bitching at people. My mom's completely sympathizing with him, treating him like a fucking baby, and my dad's being tougher, obliging him in some things but not others. (You can't get up? Bullshit. I broke my leg before and I was able to get up and walk upstairs with the leg broken.) Anyway, all Matt ever does is fucking yell and scream and cry at everyone and then whine afterwards "IT HURTS YOU DON'T KNOW IT HURTS ME". I renewed the videos because I thought I would get another chance to watch them sometime in the extra week. I got no chance. They have to be returned today. So one's in my room and the other's in the VCR (I saw about 40 minutes before Matt woke up last week). I go over to the VCR to get the video out, grab the remote, press power and...

The TV goes off.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" Matt starts screaming. My mom walks in and yells at me for turning the TV off. What the hell. I'm trying to turn on the fucking VCR. Matt always switches the remote from "VCR" to "TV" every chance he gets, even though he knows I always use the remote for the VCR. I tell my mom that Matt changed it and I need to turn on the TV and rewind the video. Matt's still screaming and my mom is still yelling at me, I turn the TV back on and switch the remote to VCR and turn on the VCR. I click rewind.

About this time, Matt starts saying that if I don't move right now, he's going to throw his water bottle at me (it's open and 3/4 full). I laugh and ask very reasonably why the hell he would do that. He doesn't give an answer, just keeps saying it. My mom's screaming at me and I'm telling her I'm just rewinding a video, what the hell's the matter? Then Matt pours his water all over me. I hit him on the head with the remote. My mom runs over and slaps me and begins touching Matt's head to see if he's all right. (He's fine, I didn't even fucking hit him hard.)

My dad walks in and asks what's going on. I tell him what happened, how I'm trying to rewind a video and Matt poured water all over me, and my dad suddenly says "NO VIDEOS, NO DVDS, NOTHING! FOR A WEEK!"

Now what the fuck? Does this situation make any sense to you?
