So I randomly clicked you from the comments on the "Bisexuality is real" banner page. Here's what I've experienced, as a bisexual woman (which I agree, it's always been more ok to be bi and female than bi and male.) Straight people wonder when I'm going to just admit I'm gay, and gay folks see me as a straight girl who gets her grins from playing with other girls. When in all reality, that's not it at all. I'm drawn to a spirit, a soul, an energy. Mostly that's men. Often enough, though, that has been in a woman. And you know, I don't question it.
It's hard, walking this edge. I live in a small town, where my father is a prominent business man, and I fight tooth and nail to keep my private life just that: Private. Which usually means I don't play near my hometown.
One of my dearest friends is described accurately as my "bi-polar alcoholic lesbian best friend." She and I talk about attracton and romance and she wishes she knew more people like me; people who could just be strong and open about their sexuality, no matter what.

So. Hi! I'm Nikki, and that's my soapbox.
