It needs to be said...
...that the new Star Wars movie is crap. Here's my geeky letter grades of all six movies in order of best to worst:
1. Empire Strikes Back A-
2. Return of the Jedi (tied with) A New Hope B+
3. Phantom Menace D-
4. Revenge of the Sith D-
5. Attack of the Clones F
Funny how Ego-Tripper Extraordinaire George Lucas actually didn't write or direct "Empire", the best movie in the entire series.
The mass public are under some spell of complete delusion and brain-washing regarding this new movie. And I didn't just hate it, I also thought it was horribly written, directed, and acted. I have many reasonable explanations for why it's a poorly made movie. I am ready to argue these, if need be!
The world should do itself a favor and go see real sci-fi brilliance when "Serenity" comes out September 30th. And buy the DVD set of "Firefly" before that.
(If I say that I don't think most people are even smart enough to appreciate "Firefly" or "Serenity" does that make me a snob? Ah well. I never claimed I wasn't one! At least I am a snob with good taste.)
