O_o I fell off the LJ train for a bit again. Sorry people! It happens >< I didn't really mean too. I guess I just sort of... forgot to post stuff. Oh well. ^^;;; Lets update then, shall we?

I now have Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles, Super Bubble Pop, and the Greatest Hits version of Silent Hill 2 (though this means I now must trade in my old copy of the non-greatest hits version). I'm happy with my new games, though I wish the Maria sub-plot was longer. I'd love to know more about these characters. o.o they seem really cool and everything. Oh well.

I saw Chronicles of Riddick and it KICKS ASS! XD I loved it, I want soooo badly to see it again. It was so much better than Pitch Black, its like, a completely different style of movie. I was really impressed. I thought some of the fight graphics were gunna be bad, but they actually weren't. The wire effects were actually used quite well. I was impressed. They also had some visual effects that I can only describe as music video-esk.

I also saw Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Not nearly as cool. XD oh well. I enjoyed it, on its own, but its really disapointing when you actually put it up against the other movies and the books. For me anyway.
ON ITS OWN
Not bad at all. Its a really enjoyable movie to watch to have some fun, though a bit... sketchy on details I suppose. Things seem to happen too sporadically, but all in all, really just a fun movie.

LOOKING AT IT WITH THE BOOKS AND PREVIOUS MOVIES
Terribly disapointing, really. The other movies did a much better job staying true to their stories. The change in director I'd imagin had alot to do with it. The entire layout of Hogwarts seems to have changed from the previous movies. Why? Who knows. There was no need to make more sets for the same places if you ask me.
The Dursleys: As good as ever, except for Dudley. His lack of horror at the blowing up of Aunt Marge was very out of character. Theres no way he should have been distracted by the TV. He'd be way to afraid of Harry doing the same to him for distraction.
Draco Malfoy: ....He seems really more pathetic than he is. He doesn't have that nasty edge to him in this movie. He just seems like a bit of a wimp now.
Dumbledor: Ouch... what happened to all his mystery and fun? Its not the fault of the actor, but the fault of the writing of the movie. Many of his lines are far too specific, and theres nothing remotely cryptic about him. Also in the end, he just looks silly, because there was no good reason for Hermiony and Harry to get back to the infirmary since he was no longer locking the door so they couldn't be accused of aiding in Black's escape. Also, they should not have put that silly tie in his beard, because in scenes you could see it shifting up and down. x_X
Snape: Where is he? O_o Seriously man, he is not in this movie NEARLY enough. Theres barely any Snape at all. I was really looking forward to his big blow up at the end, but it never happened, because it got cut. I was really saddened by this.
Lupin: Generally, really good. But... why is he suddenly hoplessly in love with Lilly? I mean... really... And the were-wolf form was just stupid. He didn't look anything like an actual wolf, and due to certain things in the book, it should actually be almost challenging to look for differences between werewolves and real wolves.
Sirius Black: Generally not bad at all. Though his dog form was a little small for me. I thought the actor did quite a good job, though I don't think that he's going to look impressive enough for later movies.
Peter Pettigrew: Umm... Too mousy when not a rat. I mean, I expect it to some degree, but it was too extreme for my liking. And what the hell was with him being on the map? I mean really x_x thats not how its supposed to happen.... *whines*
Ron: Just fantastic. I thought he finally seemed really awkward enough. ^^ He did great. I also enjoyed the addition of the tapdancing spider nightmare.
Hermione: Also really great. She does such a wonderful job bringing the character to life. Though why were they all dressed like muggles so much...?
Harry: Well, great job really. Notice I don't have much to say about the people I really liked?
Buckbeak: FANTASTIC!!!! O_O Really well CGed in my opinion. I thought they did a great job with him
Hagrid: Great as always. HE actually seemed bigger this time than before, which was great.
Fudge: Awsome. He's going to make just a wonderful Fudge.
The Leaky Cauldron: .... HORRIBLE. Oh my god... Harry's room is just nasty. I mean, he's supposed to love it there, with an amazing view of Diagon Ally, and spend lots of time enjoying himself. I don't think this could have been any more wrong... really.

There. I don't think I can think of anything else ^^
