So it's been kind of a while since I updated!
I've started work. I'm not getting a ton of hours, but most of its purpose is for getting out of the house and making sure I can afford Otakon anyway, so that's not that big of a deal. It's been... interesting. Like, one day, I'll be making sandwiches and punch and I'll be running out of samples almost as fast as I can make them and then some days it's like, just pour out some coffee in some cups. But on Sunday I did Wonka chocolates and got a sweet purple apron and purple top hat to wear just for it so I can't really complain too much. If every job I ever hold gives me the opportunity to wear something ridiculous like that I think I will have led a good life. *Sage nod*
I was disappointed by the lack of Oompa Loompa standee I was told I would have.
I've also started RPing again! I've been playing
magical_logic over at
route_29, and it's been fun. I should app a second that takes less braining, though. And is more social. And maybe less of an awkard failboat. I mean I love playing Edgeworth in all his awkward failboat glory I picked the most awkward possible canon point on purpose after all, but, y'know. Variety and shit. And being able to still RP even when I'm vaguely guuuuhhhhhh.
Hey guys you know what's rad The Protomen is rad that's right. Rad and soul-crushingly depressing in that beautiful kind of way. And rocking, of course, but a rock opera that isn't rocking could hardly be called a rock opera at all!
Princess Tutu is also totally rad, by the way. I-I always feel kind of awkwardly embarrassed to admit that I watched and liked Princess Tutu because of the name and the whole ballet and magical girl thing because my man cred, but oh man you guys it is so good. I am kind of a sucker for series that are meta like that. And maybe I really really wanted to be a ballerina when I was six but you can't prove anything.
tl;dr
it's like guitar ninjas.
Also I have been playing a lot of
Mamono Sweeper. It's Minesweeper, but with RPG elements! Yeah I was basically doomed from the start.
