I am seriously considering picking Grif up at NW (he'll have to interact with Wash exclusively off-screen, I guess). Something may be wrong with me. What may be even more wrong with me is that I have a list of prospective usernames I would like opinions on. Or other suggestions. Because I'm really not that great at usernames. monkeying_about would be the one I would normally go for, but NW has a Sarge and a Simmons already. Sarge's username is yougongetsarged and Simmons's is sargesfavorite. The urge to incorporate Sarge into the username to make a theme of it is overwhelming. Because I love themed names. So there.
My current list of options:
-Go with monkeying_about anyway.
-ex_sarge- Referencing Grif's former rank, and, well, in episode 9, right after Sarge bursts in on the execution, Simmons goes "Sarge?!" and Grif responds with a "Yeah, what?" Yeah, it's a pretty lame username, but I do find the implication that Simmons had been calling Grif "Sarge" often enough for Grif to automatically respond to it to be terribly interesting for both of them because I wouldn't expect Simmons to make that substitution and I wouldn't expect Grif to be OK with it and you know what I am both totally drifting and way overthinking the joke here.
