(no subject)
this morning john got up and went to the store for products to drain fix our clogged shower, and came back with coffee and breakfast for me. by the time i got up the coffee wasn't quite hot, but i was no less excited about it.
yesterday i spent close to two hours sitting on the floor at the dmv so i could change my name on my driver's license. now i have a paper temporary that declares me a yarbrough, and i should be getting my new social security card in the mail soon. i'm really excited to get my new license, although i wasn't prepared for the new picture. i'm still not quite used to this new hairstyle, so i haven't figured out the best way for me to fix it in the morning. that day i hadn't done anything at all, but it doesn't curl the same way it did when it was thicker, so it looked kind of stringy. eh. everyone has a bad license photo.
in a few minutes i'm taking tippy to the vet. her skin is just so bad, it's like she has puppy excema. if i had to guess, it's "flea allergy dermatitis" which means we just have to figure out a way to keep fleas off of her, which so far has been impossible. i've tried frontine, diatemaceous earth, capstar, and flea shampoo, and they all kill the fleas that are on her, but nothing keeps them off. i don't want to spend the money on K9 advantix because her skin is so dry it won't carry the medicine around her whole body. maybe i should stop thinking about it and just see what the vet has to say.
i can't wait to move. i'm so excited about the place we found...it was absolutely everything we were looking for, minus the extra bedroom, which was just a bonus anyway. perfect location, small complex, new complex, perfect size, laundry room, vaulted ceilings, tons of storage. a real pantry! right across the street from a school track we can run on at night. they'll paint an "accent wall" for us for 25 bucks. hopefully we can sign a lease this week. oh, and the best part, according to my husband, is our address will be on panther trail.
