It's/its-- yep, I make that mistake all of the time for some reason. I KNOW the difference, and it's been drilled into my head throughout school, AND I'm a stickler for punctuation, yet I still make the mistake. The world may never know...

Regarding Rand, I love her ability to put her philosophy to use through her writing... I think she has got a lot of talent that she uses to her advantage (combined with her personal philosophy and ideas), and the outcome is wonderful. I agree with you that objectivism is a little fucked, but pretty much everything is fucked these days, so I try not to harsh it too badly (the only things I allow myself to REALLY harsh are Uma Thurman and cannibals). So, *deep breath* in conclusion, I prefer Rand for her literary prowess, but I don't think her literary prowess would be nearly as impressive without the political stances behind it.

The SAT system is now out of 2400, yeah. From Wikipedia:
"Beginning with the March 12, 2005 administration of the exam, the SAT Reasoning Test was modified and lengthened. Changes included the removal of analogy questions from the Critical Reading (formerly verbal) section and quantitative comparisons from the mathematics section. A writing section (with an essay) based largely on the former SAT II Writing Subject Test was added to the exam, and the mathematics section was expanded to cover three years of high school mathematics. Also, since the writing section was included in the SAT I, the SAT II Writing Subject Test was discontinued. Short passages with one or two questions following them replaced analogies. Scores on each section range from 200 to 800, with scores always being a multiple of 10.

The new SAT contains ten sections and a total length of 3 hours 45 minutes; with the additional writing section, a "perfect" score on the new SAT is 2400."

My score translates roughly to a 1480.

And lastly, thank you very much!!
