If there are any female programmers out there looking for some extra cash this summer, check out GNOME's extension of Google's Summer of Code. It's their Women's Summer Outreach Program 2006. Basically, they got zero applications from women for their 20 intern slots this summer. So, they added another three projects, only for women. It pays $3000 for the summer, and you don't even have to leave your home. Summer of Code projects are for students only.
