Friday newsies

You know it's nearly June when the Silly Season rumblings start gathering pace. Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

  • His loan period at Bayern over, Massimo Oddo is no longer wanted there. He may come home, he may be shipped off somewhere else. Watch this space. [If he's off somewhere else, I'm just hoping it's wherever Ebi Smolarek ends up, 'cause, then, at least they can have a good time together. ;)]

  • There's a difficult decision to be made for Yoann Gourcuff. Stay at Bordeaux, or come back to Milan? Uncle Fester is tapping his watch, and saying 'what time do you call this, young man?'

  • Of course, Gorky's decision will depend on where Carlo Ancelotti is next season. Mourinho, spouting his mouth off again, says he knows it will be Chelsea. Other sources are not so sure.

  • Speaking of Chelsea, Ricky Kaká is saying all the right things, but, the rumours still persist. It's going to be a trying three months, boys and girls.

  • And, still on the subject of Ricky (you see how seamless I am being today?), he and Quackers have been called up to Brazil's friendlies/Confederations Cup squad. Which is more than can be said for either Ron. [Although, srsly, Dunga: Heurelho Gomes? Are you mad?]

  • Right, yeah, so there's this game on Sunday. There will be nothing of significance happening, not a farewell, or anything, oh no. No. Just your normal, regular, non-end-of-an-era game. *denies* But, you know, you might want to read this. And then this one, as well. And maybe stock up on tissues, wine, and chocolate, while you're at it. *snivels*
  • [pato], [oddo], [ancelotti], [kaka], national duty, [maldini], transfers, [gourcuff], news
