Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to share this recipe as well. If you love chocolate you'll go crazy for these brownies. They are rich, moist and extremely dietetic Okay, fine. They're not at all dietetic, but they are worth every single calorie...
INGREDIENTS
4 oz. unsweetened chocolate (I suggest using high quality brand such as Scharffren Berger or Lindt)
1/2 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 eggs, beaten
1 cup flour, sifted
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
6 oz. package semisweet chocolate chips
Preheat over to 325 degrees. Melt unsweetened chocolate and butter in top of double boiler over hot water. Set aside to cool slightly. Gradually add sugar to beaten eggs, beating thoroughly after each addition. Blend in chocolate mixture. Stir in flour. Add vanilla, half of nuts and half of chocolate chips. Spread in grease 9-inch square baking pan. Sprinkle remaining chocolate pieces and nuts over batter. Bake at 325 for 25 - 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out almost completely clean. Remove from oven and cool in pan. Cut into squares.
Makes 16 small (but deliciously rich) squares.
