I'm really disapointed with these two lava lamps Rick bought me. The liquid is still very cloudy, and is not clearing up whatsoever. Any of my other lamps have cleared up within a day. I wonder what's wrong with them. Hmm.
Oh boy, I've been in a really creative, constructive mood yesterday, and today. What to do? I need some good paper and pencils. Or something. Maybe I'll finally start on that sweater for my sister Sara's baby boy, Dominic. It'll be black, with white trim, snaps up the front, with two skulls&crossbones on the chest. I really hope it turns out good. And that she doesn't destroy it :-/
Was talking to my dad last night about her, actually. I guess Larry is still working, and gave Sara some money. She owes my dad alot of money(in the thousands, it's insane), but she gave him the 60 dollars Laryy gave her. My dad was happy with that. HE said he is not paying her rent next month, though. Either sink or swim. I can just imagine the arguments my parents have had over this while I've been gone, though. My mom would help her forever, I think to the point of my sister taking advantage of it. I just don't get it. Meh, I'm just more like my dad, I guess.
Rick and I went to the Oklahoma City Federal building memorial. You know, the *building* Timothy McVeigh blew up? I got alot of pictures there. I really didn't like being there, though. It was really sort of... creepy. Made me feel really uneasy. They have chairs with the names of every person who died there, even the children. Though the children's chairs were smaller. And they had a section of where the playground was for these kids, all fenced off. Made me really sad. I'll post the pictures when I get home.
It was interesting going there, but no someplace I'd ever visit again.
Downtown OK city reminds me alot of downtown Buffalo. It was really weird. And remember those "Herd About Buffalo?" statues? The artsy ones that are all over the place here? I saw three of them in the downtown area. Now that was weird. What the hell were they doing here? I'll have to find out. I only got a picture of one of them, though. It was in front of the BassPro shop, so it's all nature-y.
Ugh, on tv right now, they are describing the old practice of whaling. Really horrible.
