RIVER PLATE VS NACIONAL DE MONTEVIDEO

A bizarre situation occurred when the coaches of these two teams, both former players of River Plate, took their new teams to the pitch to play in a friendly at the Monumental. The coincidence is so bizarre...Marcelo Gallardo and Matias Almeyda are both brand new coaches as well as former River players. And to play against each other at such a time as this...right before the start of the new season next weekend, after River's historical first-time relegation to the 'B'. For Gallardo this was an emotional experience. In an interview appearing in La Pagina Millonaria he describes his feelings while he watched River go down, sitting at home alone with only his children for company. Here's a link to the page:
