This is so great. I've just seen it on TV as well. It's too bad about Maradona, who wasn't a bad coach at all, but needs more experience. Let's hope he gets it, if he is really serious about coaching. But I always felt that Batista did a great job with the Olympic team and should be a good choice! Let's hope he can repeat his success! :)

The biggest problem with Maradona was that he didn't bring any consistency to the squad, by using over 100 players during qualifying. Then when he finally had to make a choice, he made it much too personal.

Batista has the advantage of having worked with the current generation's great players - and won a big prize with them. But he also failed to qualify with the World Sub-20 squad.
But I do have a feeling he is a good choice.
