Title:  You Look So Young  (mp3)
Pairing:  Erica/Cristina
Rating:  R (for language)
Summary:  Erica’s still the boss.

"Shit, Erica.  You don’t get to pull rank on me.”  Cristina slammed the front door, causing Erica to slightly raise her brow in response to the younger woman’s stormy entrance.  She slid her reading glasses off and quietly cleared her throat; she knew why Cristina was so upset, but she also knew she was completely justified in doing what she had done.

Cristina stood in the middle of the living room, cold ice flashing in her dark eyes.  Her hands dug into her slim hips and she tapped the toe of her boot, waiting for a reaction.  After a moment’s pause, in which Erica remained silent, Cristina stamped her foot and the rage nearly exploded out of her chest.  “You want to explain to me why I’m here and not at the hospital?  Where I should be.”

Erica drew in a deep, silent breath, “You have been at the hospital since last Thursday.  You know very well the limit is eighty hours per shift.  Apparently, your Chief Resident doesn’t know that.”

“So you had to call and remind the Chief of Surgery?  You know we have a surgery in four hours.  You couldn’t wait -“

“No, Cristina…I have a surgery in four hours, and I’m not going to have the senior resident, assisting, be dead on her feet, from lack of sleep.”  Erica’s expression was firm and Cristina knew, no matter what she said, it was the end of the discussion.

She narrowed her eyes and crossed the room to the stairwell, taking the steps two at a time.  “Well, apparently I need my rest.  So I hope you find the couch very comfortable tonight!”

Title:  The Path of Thorns (mp3)
Pairing:  Erica/Addison
Rating:  PG-13
Summary:  Addison defines the terms of endearment.

“Come on.  Get your butt in gear blondie.”

Erica tugged the gauzy cover over her head as she rounded the corner into the living room. “I told you to quit calling me that.”

Addison attempted to hide the smirk that tugged the corners of her mouth.  “When did you tell me that?”

Grabbing her bag and stuffing her towel and medical journals down into the canvas tote, Erica rolled her eyes.  “Oh, I don’t know…yesterday and the day before, about a hundred times.  I don’t like it.  It’s derogatory.”

“Derogatory?”  Addison scoffed and grabbed her sunglasses off the counter.  “You’re blonde and it’s an ‘e’ on the end.  It’s a term of endearment.”

“It’s not a term of endearment.  Blondie is just insulting.  Honey, baby, whatever, is an endearment.”

Addison cocked her left eyebrow and stalked the few steps towards Erica.  “Oh you mean like…I love you, baby.  Oh yeah, baby.”  She slid her hand over Erica’s hip, gathering the swimsuit cover in her fist.  “Right there, baby.”

Erica widened her eyes and let the canvas tote fall to the floor.  “I thought we were going to the beach?”

“Are you turning me down, blondie?”

Erica slid her hands up Addison’s bare arms.  “Well, I probably do need a proper lesson on these endearments.  And how they’re used.”

Title:  Girl/World  (mp3)
Pairing:  Erica/Meredith
Rating:  G
Summary:  There’s always some common ground.

Meredith hesitated in the scrub room.  She would be the first to admit that Erica Hahn intimated the hell out of her.  She was used to surgical attendings who expected little and simply looked for residents to stroke their egos and concur with their diagnoses.  Erica Hahn actually listened to residents when they presented.  She legitimately grilled you on the specifics of a case.  She expected you to know your stuff, and perform when asked.  But, she also expected integrity and honesty.

These were the things Meredith Grey struggled every day to balance.  She had such high expectations of herself.  She knew things were expected of her.  The struggle came in living up to all of those expectations.

“Dr. Hahn, I’m sorry about today.  I shouldn’t have embellished my experience.  I just didn’t want you to -“

Erica cut off the faucet and flicked the excess water from her hands.  “Dr. Grey, I know.”  She grabbed a towel and turned around to face Meredith, drying her hand and forearms.  “None of us want to come in second.  It’s all a race.  Your mother was a fine surgeon.  And you can one day be a better one.”

Title:  Waiting to Derail  (mp3)
Pairing:  Erica/Izzie
Rating:  R (language and sexual suggestion)
Summary:  Erica realizes she needs to clear out.

The back of her hand brushed the soft pink cheek of one Izzie Stevens.  “You’re so beautiful.”

Biting her lower lip hesitantly, Izzie’s eyes were earnest, clear pools, reflecting her fear.  “But, Dr. Hahn I killed him.”

“Shh, it’s okay.”  Erica slowly moved forward, as time stood still, and she imagined that the teeming world around them simply stopped.  Izzie’s breath was soft and radiated warmth upon her lips as she came ever closer.  “You did what you thought was right.”

Izzie’s voice was quiet and plaintive. “I did.  Dr. Hahn, I honestly did try -“

Erica’s lips silenced her, threading her fingers through the soft curls and wrapping around the back of Izzie Steven’s head.  She pulled the woman hungrily against her and devoured her full pouty lips.

Her heart pounded in her chest, she heard the blood pounding in her ears, her pulse throbbed between her legs.  Pagers blared in the distant corner of her mind, a minor distraction that built louder and louder to a thunderous crescendo in her ears.  Snapping her eyes open, Erica awoke with a start and a curse upon her lips.  Grabbing her pager off the nightstand she muttered to herself.  “Fucking Seattle Grace…I’ve got to get out of here.”

Title:  Till I Am Myself Again  (mp3)
Pairing:  Erica/Arizona
Rating:  PG-13
Summary:  Precedes each drabble.

“Can I buy you a drink?”

Erica glanced sideways at the petite woman sliding into the chair beside her.  She pursed her lips and lightly shook the half full beer bottle.  “I’m good.”

With a wink, Arizona smoothly licked her bottom lip, and flagged down the bartender.  “Bring us two of what she’s having.”

Erica turned back to stare at the mirror behind the bar, her voice was hard and edged.  “Robbins, did you not hear me?”

“Yeah, that was my fault.  I should never have asked.  I should have just told you, I have the next round.”

“There is no next round.”  Erica took a long swig from the bottle and sat it heavily back onto the bar before she stood and turned her back.

Arizona’s small hand darted out and she grasped Erica’s elbow.  “For once in your life, don’t walk away.”
