Agreed! I think that's one of the reasons I love Brooke so much. I tend to love abrasive, strong female characters and she's very good with them, so she ends up playing them a lot. I love that! (She also usually plays characters that make good lesbians--although I did say 'abrasive, strong female' didn't I?)

Wow, I've never heard of tentacle dildos, just those weird alien things. The Dildo sounds much better. Lol.
So what's weeds? I get that it's a show and Brooke Smith was in it, is it good enough for me to look into? What's it about?

mmm, we've been thrown in the deep in here. and the nerve of valarie showing up with her...(shall we call him 'sucker?') in a plastic bag? brilliant. ahh, Brooke always resonates this confidence in her characters and I'm so thrilled you caught that here. I'm not 'fucking sorry' for reading this at all... ;)

I agree that she really bring a strength and depth to her characters, so that Valerie's not all heartless bitch, Erica's not all cold detached surgeon, there's always a little something beneath the surface, behind the eyes...

I just went to youtube to watch all of Valerie's clips again, god she's funny, Brooke is so very good at swearing and the clip where her son kicks the kid in the nuts and she just takes a cigaret gets me every time ( ... )

Yeah, I know I sort left the plot out of this one. Sorry. I may have to give it another go. It will probably help me get a better grasp on my characterizations.

And I agree, that there would have been a softer side of Valerie that we never had the chance to see on-screen.

You've truly gone out on a limb with this one. I'm impressed you managed to squeeze this 'ship in, considering Valerie and Nancy's relationship on "Weeds." Still, I could see it happening, at least somewhere between Peter's funeral and the $119,000! Har!

For those of you not in the know about "Weeds," I can't say much because I haven't seen very many episodes myself, but I've seen enough to know it's definitely an acquired taste.

I see there are YouTube references here, so if you really want to see how it went between Valerie and Nancy, go watch all the "Brooke on Weeds" clips. If you enjoy the ef word as much as I do, you'll really like a couple of 'em! I'm crude, I know, but it was fun hearing it from Brooke's mouth! I kept picturing Hahn, ya know?

Yeah, it might have been hard for Val to get over the money thing. But, they had a pretty good bond for a couple nights. You never know what some extended wine parties may lead to.

I'm with you on the swearing. Out of Brooke's mouth...just too delicious. Thank you so much for giving this one a try.
