mp3 That’s The Game

The floors ding by on the elevator, my stomach dropping as each one lights up; seven, eight, nine…With one last ding the doors slide open.  Clinging to the rail that runs along the back wall of the lift, I’m not sure my legs will move.  Or, even if they do, I think the rush of blood from my head will cause me to faint.

I admit, this was a difficult one to approach. I struggled with how to wrap my head around putting Erica in this situation, how to make to make it seem like something she would ever do. Obviously I have idolized this character and think Erica Hahn can do anything and everything. But, I have to find a way to convince the readers that you want her to do everything and make sure it’s still believable when she does. So, thank you for trusting me and giving my little odd scenarios a try.

And I’m so glad to hear you were able to see this pro as a sympathetic character. I wanted someone, who under different circumstances we could see her actually with Erica. Our leading lady always has been awkward and cautious, and even though she’s taken the steps to arrange this, she’s still so hesitant. She really needed someone who was going to take the reins, but still not dominate her.

I think you’re right that with some work Erica could have a meaningful relationship, but I’m not sure she’s convinced herself that she can. She’s been burned and has drawn up her defenses as a result. Perhaps this encounter will show her that there’s more than just the physical she’s missing out on. I really am so glad that this OC resonated. Maybe Erica can realize these women are out there, she just needs some patience and openness on her own part to see them.

Your feedback on this little piece was just phenomenal. One I got into the idea, I really did connect to this cautious and hesitant side of Erica, and the other charter who was there to catch her if she fell. I really love the luxury these prompts have afforded me to look at many different angles of the character and explore the different ways I like to think about her personality. I can only hope you enjoy them half as much as I have. Thank you so much. Your generous feedback really means more than I tell you.

Re: P.S. *smile* No significance to the icon. I’m just looking for some fun icons for my kink prompts. This one is an old 50s or 60s pulp novel cover.
