A Windmill Update

Oct 22, 2004 13:41

The Windmill was great for several reasons, not least of which was a kind friend kindly driving all the kit back to customradar so I didn't have to. As the only driver in HOST this was just the second time I have been able to drink properly after a gig. I grasped the opportunity/bottle with both hands and was rewarded with a headache and memories of perhaps being a bit gobshitey. Oh, and SteveHOST eating someone else's cold, leftover Pot Noodle.

Oh, and Stuffy played Pin Up from the Sarandon album. It took me about 10 seconds to recognise the song, by which time it was nearly over.

Oh, oh, and Stuffy & The Fuses were great. They have possibly the best band vehicle I have ever seen: a large russet van with seats for seven and enough space for ten drumkits. It's a good job the HOSTmobile left early - it wouldn't have liked to see me getting into such a superior model.

EDIT: What with playing with the Vinny Peculiar and all, MIKE JOYCE will be using MY drunkit. Yes, you can touch it afterwards.
