oy, first comment? *bounces*

I love this. It has a beautifully melancholic energy to it that really matches the scene. I find that the fics I write when I'm pouring my RL heart out are the most precious ones. Thank you for sharing that gift with us. It's a treasure. I love how Hikaru has grown into his grief, and it's something he feels he can hold in his own cup now, as opposed to back then, when it was heartbreaking and overflowing. I hope it's true for you, too. Lovely fic. *hugs*

Thank you very much! That really was what I was trying to capture, and I'm glad it came out right.

It's been a long eight years, but I like to think that I've made progress.

*Glomp* Thank you very much for reading!

It feels a bit rushed- but the mood is so sad and melancholy, which usually indicates a slower piece, so that might be it.^^

This would be his last visit to Innoshima.
This line seems a bit sudden, after the intro, but after reading the rest of the fic, it's explained.

In the beginning, the mood is a bit hopeful towards the future, then it starts becoming more somber and sad, but at the end it's once again hopeful. I like it~!

What's subitaneousness? I couldn't figure out what's supposed to be.

Other than that, this one is nice--slow moving but almost elegaic, with all the memories that Hikaru holds.

The dictionary.com definition for subitaneous is Sudden; hasty. I guess it is a bit obscure, but it IS in Webster, even if firefox and Word don't recognize it. -.-;

Thank you very much! I'm glad you liked it!

My desk dictionary doesn't have it either--I need to get a bigger dictionary. ^_^;

Thanks for clarifying!

I think the "elegiac" is indeed the best word to describe this. The way that Shindou and Touya are both understanding - Shindou of himself, Touya of Shindou - shows how they've really matured, and are ready to move onto a new stage of their lives.

"Goodbye, Torajirou. Keep Sai company until I get there, okay?”

:sniff: I liked this line a lot.

This is a nice way to remember your brother. I'm sure he appreciates it.

Wai, I just noticed you friended me! I'm so slow. Added ya too.

Of course I friended you. You make me write evil sequels with boys in skirts in them. It's coming at you soon, yo.

Yeah, I really see time having this effect on them. Ever changing, yet slow-moving and comfortable. <3 Thanks for reading!
