There was an interesting story in the Times today about Judith Regan. She was the publisher behind O.J Simpson's book: If I did it. The book was canceled because of the angry media firestorm that surrounded its release and later Regan was fired.
Now Regan is trying to bring a lawsuit against Fox News and Murdoch for some odd reasons. Its kinda hard to explain what exactly is going on because the story reads like a poorly thought out soap opera.
Anyway, in the begining Regan had an affair with Bernard Kerik. This was before Kerik was nominated for homeland security and before he was charged with tax evasion and before he worked with companies that were possibly linked to the mob. So apparently Fox and others wanted Regan to keep quite during the Kerik hearings because her testimony could damage Kerik's reputation and in turn Guliani's as well. Guliani's reputation would be damaged through criticism of Kerik because of their close personal ties and the fact that Kerik worked as police commissioner under Guliani. Allegedly executives at Fox wanted to keep Regan from talking about Kerik and they "allegedly" told her to lie to investigators about the whole situation.
The Times story points out the holes in the lawsuit such as not mentioning the name of the executives and not mentioning what exactly transpired.
So heres the link:

Guliani responded today by calling the story something that would run on the pages of a tabloid. So it least give the guys campaign team props for knowing when not to care.
