Gacked from everyone and their dog, but particularly from
suelac your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to write a drabble with the same first line as one of my stories, and leave it in my comments here.
And then
suelac added:
Which, you know? Seems kind of ... dictatorial. But I figure, what the hell. So here's my qualifier: If you want to, and if any of my first lines inspire you, drabble! No requirement to include the line exactly. And if no inspiration hits, no biggie. Have fun. Entertain yourselves.
See, when I sheep, I sheep *with a purpose*.
At this point, everyone has got to be tired of drabbling, and of this meme, so if people are not inspired, no sweat. I'm not going to get any done this weekend, that's for sure.
(In case anyone else was wondering, drabble, last I heard, was 100 words. Again, not to worry about details like that.)
And you know what would be *rilly* cool? If people wrote drabbles with one of these first lines as the last line! That would be cool. I'd like to see that.

I numbered them because I couldn't count that high without taking off my shoes. I put the titles at the end because I wanted too.
Unlike *some* people, this represents all the longer fic I have posted, and a few of the drabbles of which I am most fond. I am a bit annoyed (again) that LOTR100 went dead like it did, without warning, as I had not started backing up drabbles at that point. Some of those were pretty good, too.
Looking these over, I see that what ever people were reading my fic for, it's not the throat-grabbing first lines. Also? Some of these titles are not as good as I thought they were at the time. (Empty Spaces - f'xample. I see that one out of the blue and I'm like, What one was that about? Hell, *which fandom* was that in?)
Anyway. Am bookmarking a bunch of these "twenty lines" posts. If I ever get round to it, I might drabble a few, when I get the chance. Is December 2005 good for you all? *g*
