day off
Did I actually say that I had the day off? Silly me. I should have spit three times behind my left shoulder and said "poo poo poo" before arrogantly making this foolish statement.
So I get a call at 8:30 last night. Can I come to work at 11:00? Someone called off, leaving one nurse in charge of the whole building. There's no one else who can work, I'm their last hope. God help us if I'm anyone's last hope!!
So I manage to sneak in a one hour nap before changing into scrubs and trundling in to work. Essentially, I pulled an all nighter. They are for college students, not middle aged women. Of course I didn't have to work my 7A - 3P shift, but who cares. I got home and slept from 9:30 - 1:30. Then I had to get up because I can't sleep all afternoon and then expect to go to sleep this evening so I can get up tomorrow morning at 5:30 to go to work. Does this make sense or am I just babbling?
