I've watched a few dramas recently, but none of them made me want to write a review, so i thought i'd just talk about them all in one post :)
Gachi Baka
I watched Gachi Baka for Tegomasu and, my, they looked so young! Haha! It was back during Tego's transition period when he still had a bit of baby fat XD Well, the drama itself turned out to be a kind of watered down version of Gokusen. The stories seemed to resolve themselves so nicely that it seemed kind of pointless. Some of the plot developments seemed kind of out of point too. Especially the boxing match at the end! I was like, "what? What is the point of this?"
And i wonder why Tego was again a brooding, act cool character. Somehow it reminded me of his role in Ie ga Tooi, except with a lot more lines. Haha. Ok, so it wasn't that bad, but still! Thank goodness he's moved on to happier roles now :) Massu's character suited him better though.
Real Clothes
I watched Real Clothes under the recommendation of my friends, but i don't really see what's so great about it except for it being a fashion show throughout. Haha.Perhaps that's why i can't appreciate the show as much, since i'm a fashion idiot :P
But other than pretty clothes, the plot was rather normal. There weren't any surprises along the way and you just know that the main character would solve all the problems she faces somehow. I didn't really like that the show seemed to be promoting materialism, though. It's just something that i don't get.
Ninii no Koto Wasurenaide
I put off watching this for the longest time cos i knew that it's make me cry. And it did. I really don't go well with sob stories :P But it was a nice show after all. It was so sad to see Keisuke struggle with his illness and i think the kind of anger and resentfulness shown was more accurate than if he'd just cried about it and then accepted his fate.
I was quite surprised that a one and a half hour drama like this actually spanned 8 years. Because of that, the events moved rather quickly, which i preferred cos it became less melodramatic than if it were an entire drama series (think 1 litre of tears). It made it's point and told the story quite nicely, i think.
Sotsu Uta - Sotsugyou Shashin
I only watched 1 episode of this special cos Massu was in it. Haha. The episode shown on 4th March :) Somehow, i don't quite get the point of the show. I don't know if it's cos i didn't watch the other episodes, but i thought they were supposed to be stand alone episodes? Oh well. I think the idea was that things change and that one should not give up on dreams so easily.
I agree with what many people mentioned that Masami's character was rather irritating, but i also found Massu's weak character not that great either. Although he was the more matured one in the end who got Masami's character on the right track again, he seemed to have not much of a backbone throughout most of the show :/ But that's just my opinion.
I feel like watching more dramas now that i no longer have any unfinished ones. I'm still waiting for Yamanade and Code Blue to end so that i can watch all the episodes in one go! Haha! :)
