I've never bothered to watch The Hangover either, and for pretty much the same reasons as sorasan0000 mentioned. And I'll trust miss_shad as well. Comedies are one of my favorite genres, but stuff like THAT, to me, is a genre all its own. >_>; (I actually think your review of the movie was funnier than I'd ever find the film. XDb Haha, I can totally believe you that that's what 80% of the so-called "humor" is.)
I don't think I've ever heard of Catfish, but it does sound interesting from the way you described it. With such suspicions to its claim of reality though, maybe it should appear in itself. XD I can honestly say I did not expect to read that they were doing all that stuff... (It would be creepy... ^^;)
There was nothing really creepy about it, they were just making a movie, and then when questioned over whether it is actually real, refused to own up. Them claiming it's 'real' is probably just a ploy to make it more sucessful. And judging by the awards it has won, it seems to have worked.
Oh, I meant that it'd be creepy to come across people like that on the internet. >w<; It's hard to imagine finding so much about people to find out that it's not real... As for the legitimacy of the events and the film, I bet you're right. That's one of the reasons (besides it being a good movie) that The Blair Witch Project made so much money.
Well there was the whole urban ledgend at the time The Blair Witch Project came out that it was real. I would have been scared shitless if I watched that believing it was real ( >.<;). It must have been something truly terrifying to watch at the cinema at that time.
Yeah. I would, too. (The movie was scary enough without it being real. o_o) Actually, it did make me nervous to go biking in the forest by my house, where stones are lined up in odd ways sometimes. :O (Then I realized it was the gas companies' markers or something and all was well once again. XD;)
