The details of Natsuki Takaya's upcoming new series has been announced. The series will be called Liselotte to Majo no Mori (Liselotte and the Witch's Forest), and it will begin serialisation on May the 20th, in the 12th issue of Hana to Yume. Little is known about it yet, but judging by it's title, it's seems that it may be a fantasy, and is described in the tagline as 'a fantastic tale of courage and love!'.
Ooh, this looks interesting! It's a fantasy (by the sound of it), which is a little unexpected, but it looks like it may be good! And it still has the romance aspect that is a key feature in all of Takaya-sensei's works. I look foward to it beginning it's serialisation, and hopefully someone will scanalate it. I hope this new series isn't an disapointment.
On a slightly different note, that boy really looks like Megumi (Hana's brother) from Furuba. What is it with Takaya and recycling little goth kids in her works ? XD On a slightly more serious note, I do hope that we will see different, new, interesting characters in this manga, rather than reincarnations of characters from previous works (like Se-chan in Hoshi wa Utau, who was basically what Hana would be like if she was spoilt and had way too much money). A lot of Takaya's character's seem to have exactly the same personalities, and so to see new character's with different personalities would be interesting.
Also, the cover image of the final volume of Hoshi wa Utau came out today too. It shows 'adult' Sakuya, which, considering that we had 'child' Sakuya at the beginning, feels like a fitting conclusion to the series. I'm hoping that in this volume there will be an extra omake or something showing a little more of what happened in Sakuya and Kanades lives, but I'm not sure that will happen.
