I went shopping in Cambridge today and after lunch, as has become customery for me, made a beeline for the crepe stall. Anyway, as I was waiting for my crepe, I started hearing shouting and what sounded like drums. I looked to try and see the source of the noise, and I could see further up the street coming off a sidestreet there were people stopping to look at something, and a policeman looking as though he was trying to control crowds. After a few minuates, a steady stream of people started pouring from the sidestreet chanting, beating drums and holding banners, and it quickly became apparent that it was a protest about the budget cuts (which is becoming a common sight in Cambridge at the moment). There were quite a few people and there were all the usual banners saying 'the goverment lied to us' and 'down with the bankers' and 'save our educations', aswell as an effigy of David Cameron being hung from a rod (yes, our Prime Minister is not very popular at the moment) and a cartoon depiction of David Cameron and Nick Clegg consummating their love. Then I noticed amongst all these people, there was one random guy with a sign saying 'SAVE OUR TREES' XD That amused me for the rest of the day.
I also brought vol 1 of Hetalia today. I was flicking through volume 2 in Waterstones and found it very funny, and so when I found vol 1 in another bookshop I brought it. I look foward to reading it ^.^ I also brought the Ouran box set recently (since it was £16.99 on amazon which, for a complete series, is a pretty good deal). I look foward to sitting down and watching that too. I read the first volume a couple of days ago and wasn't sure what I thought of it, but it strikes me as something that will probably be better as an anime. It's nearly half term - 6 days to go and I have 10 days off from college - so I should have plenty of time to watch that then. I look foward to having a week and a bit off....sleep will be good too.....
